Council of State Member Donates GHC110,000 for Surgery of Little Jayla Queen Fynn

Accra: Dr Maxwell Boakye, the Western Regional representative on the Council of State, has contributed a substantial sum of GHC100,000 to assist little Jayla Queen Fynn in undergoing a critical surgery at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. Jayla, a one-and-a-half-year-old from the Ahanta West Municipality, is in dire need of surgery to correct a congenital heart defect.

According to Ghana News Agency, the generous donation is aimed at facilitating the life-saving procedure required to repair a hole in Jayla's heart. Additionally, Dr Boakye has extended an extra GHC10,000 to aid in the child's care and living expenses, encompassing transportation to and from the hospital.

In a conversation following the donation ceremony, Dr Boakye emphasized that his contribution goes beyond his official duties as a Council of State Member. He views this gesture as a part of his broader commitment to assisting those in need. Dr Boakye expressed his dedication to positively impacting lives, particularly within the Western Region, as part of his mission to improve society.
