Sunyani: The Council of Bono and Ahafo Associations of North America (COBAANA) has extended its congratulations to Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr Agyemang Badu II, Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area in the Bono Region, following his appointment as a Justice of the Court of Appeal. This milestone is celebrated not only as a personal achievement for Oseadeeyo Badu II but also as a moment of pride for the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo communities.
According to Ghana News Agency, COBAANA, which serves as the umbrella organization for diaspora Ghanaians from the former Brong-Ahafo region in North America, emphasized the significance of this appointment. Oseadeeyo Badu II, who also holds the position of President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, was among 21 High Court Judges sworn in by President John Dramani Mahama as Justices of the Court of Appeal.
In a statement signed by Dr Degraft Kwafo, Chairman of COBAANA, the council praised Oseadeeyo Badu II's commitment to the rule of law and his exemplary leadership as a traditional ruler. The statement highlighted how his role bridges cultural heritage and modern governance. COBAANA also congratulated the other newly appointed Justices, recognizing their integrity and experience as vital to maintaining Ghana's legal system.
