Otiakrom-Shallom: Apostle Dr. Kadmiel E.H. Agbelenyo, Founder and Leader of the Seventh Day Theocracy World Congregation, has called on church leaders to intensify prayers against sicknesses. He said church leaders must particularly pray against cancer and liver diseases, which he said threatened the health and development of the church. He made the call during the church's Second Passover Ceremony held at Otiakrom-Shallom near Aburi in the Eastern Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, Apostle Agbelenyo expressed concern that if such ailments afflicted church leaders or congregants, they could disrupt the church's spiritual and organizational progress. Citing Exodus 23:24-25, he emphasized that just as God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, He also created natural remedies, especially healing leaves to sustain humanity.
He advised the youth in the church to avoid social vices that could lead to diseases, and instead, focus on Bible study to become God-fearing and responsible citizens in the future. Quoting passages such as Mark 3:13-15 and Ezekiel 47:12, Apostle Agbelenyo encouraged church leaders and members to rely on God-given herbs for healing. He referenced biblical examples of prophets who used natural remedies and urged current leaders to do the same.
'God, in His love for mankind, created medicinal leaves for healing,' he said. 'Church leaders must not overlook these divine provisions but rather use them to treat illnesses among their congregations.' The event brought together believers from various regions who joined in prayer and reaffirmed their trust in both spiritual and natural means of healing.
