Adidome: The Central Tongu District Assembly has scheduled a town hall meeting for Wednesday, November 5, 2025, to foster dialogue between local authorities and residents on the development priorities of the district. The meeting, set to occur at the Adidome Old District Assembly Hall at 1000 hours, is anticipated to gather stakeholders from sectors such as education, health, security, and community development, aiming to deepen citizen engagement, promote transparency, and enhance accountability in local governance.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Dodzi Mornyuie Addison, the District Chief Executive of Central Tongu and a member of the organizing committee, stated that the forum will provide a platform for stakeholders to share ideas, review achievements, and identify challenges affecting the district's progress. Discussions are expected to focus on government interventions, ongoing projects, and future strategies designed to accelerate socio-economic development in Central Tongu.
Mr. Addison emphasized the importance of inclusive participation in governance for sustainable development, urging all residents to contribute meaningfully to the district's growth. He further encouraged community members, traditional leaders, opinion leaders, and youth groups to attend and engage constructively in the deliberations.
This town hall meeting is part of nationwide efforts by local assemblies to strengthen grassroots participation and ensure that development policies align with the needs and aspirations of citizens.
