Akrofu: Mr. Richard Tsekpokpokumah, CEO of Ayeyi Impact Foundation, a Kpassa-based NGO in Oti Region, has paid a working visit to the Integrated Recycling and Compost Plant (IRECOP) at Akrofu, near Ho, in the Volta Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, he was received by Mr. Yakubu Abubakari, a senior technical officer at the facility, who briefed him on the plant's operations, including waste segregation, plastic recycling, and organic composting. These processes, he explained, are critical to reducing environmental pollution and supporting sustainable agriculture.
Mr. Tsekpokpokumah reaffirmed the foundation's commitment to environmental sustainability, stressing that recycling and composting should be seen not only as waste management solutions but also as opportunities to create healthier, cleaner communities.
He noted that the visit had provided practical insights to strengthen the foundation's work in environmental education and youth engagement.
The CEO pledged to deepen collaboration with IRECOP and other stakeholders to promote sustainable practices, inspire communities to embrace change, and contribute to building a greener future.
