Atwima Kwanwoma DCE Advocates for Municipal Status Elevation

Atwima Kwanwoma: Madam Grace Asamoah Agyemang, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma in the Ashanti Region, has committed to advancing the processes initiated by the previous government to elevate the district to municipal status. She emphasized her intention to collaborate with the Member of Parliament to expedite the district's development for the benefit of its residents.

According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Agyemang received unanimous support from all 47 Assembly Members, securing a 100 percent endorsement as the President's nominee for the DCE position. She called on stakeholders, including Assembly Members, department heads, chiefs, religious leaders, and political parties, to support her administration in achieving its developmental objectives.

Madam Agyemang announced her plan to present her vision for the district to the Assembly in their upcoming meeting for collective evaluation and implementation. She expressed a deep sense of responsibility to deliver on her promises following the overwhelming endorsement she received.

Mr. Kofi Amankwah-Manu, the Member of Parliament, assured his support and cooperation with the new DCE to address the district's developmental challenges. He highlighted the high expectations of the community and emphasized the need for a collaborative approach that leverages the expertise, ideas, and experience of all stakeholders to ensure sustainable development and lasting solutions.
