Accra: The BCM Ghana Limited insists that the attackers of their facility were land guards, not police officers as alleged by their opponents. The company addressed claims made by Angela List, who denied using land guards to attack BCM's Spintex workshop, asserting instead that the attackers were Ghana Police Service officers executing a court order.
According to Ghana News Agency, BCM Ghana Limited has refuted these claims, emphasizing that such deception aligns with previous behaviors exhibited by Angela List. The company deemed it necessary to correct the misinformation reportedly being disseminated by List.
The statement from the company detailed the events on July 30, 2025, when Angela List allegedly sent armed land guards to the Spintex workshop. These guards, led by a known figure named 'Cyborg,' reportedly attempted to take over the premises before being thwarted by the quick actions of the workshop's workers. The company highlighted that these intruders did not present themselves as officers or produce any court orders, contradicting List's claims.
BCM Ghana Limited has submitted photographic evidence, including vehicle registration numbers, to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service for further investigation. The company maintains that similar attacks have occurred on their properties before, with ongoing legal actions in the High Court's Lands Division.
The company also addressed ongoing legal proceedings, revealing that the Court of Appeal had stayed the execution of a previous High Court judgment involving Angela List, pending the outcome of an appeal. BCM Ghana Limited argued that List had not acted for the company since her resignation in October 2020, and the court had ordered the company to file an inventory of its assets.
BCM Ghana Limited questioned the absence of any arrests if List's claims about police involvement were true. They urged the public to disregard List's accusations, citing ongoing court and security investigations as reasons for refraining from further comments on the matter.
