Asokore Mampong: Mr. Ben Abdullah Alhassan, the President's nominee, has been officially confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Asokore-Mampong Municipality by the Assembly. Mr. Alhassan received a significant endorsement, securing 17 out of the 18 votes cast, achieving a 94.4% approval rate with just one dissenting vote.According to Ghana News Agency, the elections were conducted under the supervision of the Electoral Commission. In a related event, Mr. Mohammed Lamin Awal Jarah, Assembly Member for the Asabi Electoral Area, was also elected as the Presiding Member.During his acceptance speech, Mr. Alhassan committed to an open-door policy to engage with constituents and address their concerns. He emphasized his dedication to fostering the municipality's development through collaborative efforts, particularly with the office of the Member of Parliament (MP).Hon. Ben Abdullah Alhassan is an educator, politician, and community leader with over 25 years of experience in education and poli tics. He has a strong background in political organization, having served as Branch Secretary for 16 years, Ward Secretary for 8 years, and as a member of the Constituency Elections Directorate, eventually becoming the Acting Director of Elections.
