Anfoega Secondary School’s 60th Anniversary Calls for Massive Project Contributions

Accra: Mr Michael Klutse, the President of the Anfoega Secondary School Old Students' Association (ANFOSA), has called upon alumni and stakeholders to significantly contribute to the school's 60th Anniversary Projects. As the school approaches this milestone celebration, Mr Klutse emphasized the importance of renewing commitments to support the school's development initiatives.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Klutse expressed these sentiments before the upcoming National Launch, Fundraiser, and Dance for the 60th Anniversary, which will take place in Accra. He encouraged both former and current students to honor the school's history while also focusing on future advancements. The anniversary theme, 'Celebrating 60 Years: The Role Of Stakeholders In Providing Quality Education For The 21st Century,' underlines the importance of collective efforts in enhancing educational standards.

The official launch is scheduled for May 29, 2025, at the Christ the King Parish, with Mr Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education, as the guest of honor. Planned projects for the commemoration include a facelift of the school entrance with a new fence wall, development of a standard sports complex, and the construction of a modern Home Economics and ICT Block. These initiatives are projected to cost GHS4 million.

Mr Klutse urged the alumni to uphold the tradition of excellence that Anfoesec represents. He praised the dedication of past leaders and the organizing committee for their efforts in arranging the anniversary events. He highlighted the enduring values and mission that unite the school community, emphasizing the role of the alumni in striving for excellence and making impactful contributions.

Mr Ernest Adevor, the District Chief Executive of North Dayi and an alumnus, echoed the call for ongoing support for the school's development. The 60th anniversary is seen not only as a celebration of the past but as a promise of continued commitment to the school's future potential.
