Alva One Herbal Clinic Provides Free Health Screening for Over 500 Widows and Vulnerable Individuals

Assin Juaso: Alva One Herbal Clinic has organised a free health screening event for more than 500 widows, vulnerable individuals, and the elderly in Assin Juaso, located in the Assin Central Municipality of the Central Region. The initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of these communities by offering screenings for blood pressure, hypertension, diabetes, and other related health conditions.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Eric Akwasi Baah, the Chief Executive Officer of Alva One Herbal Clinic, was inspired to organise the event after encountering a widow struggling to make ends meet. This encounter moved him to commit to supporting widows by providing necessary healthcare services. The event not only focused on health screenings but also included the distribution of clothing, cash, and food to the widows.

Dr. Baah emphasised the importance of health awareness among the aged and widows, noting that many suffer from undiagnosed conditions. He urged them to prioritise their health and seek medical attention when necessary. The clinic ensured that individuals diagnosed with health issues during the screening were counselled and referred to appropriate health facilities for further medical care.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the initiative. Ms. Akua Nyame, one of the participants, appreciated the support from Dr. Baah and his team, mentioning that the screening provided her with peace of mind regarding her health. Another beneficiary, Ms. Esi Opoku, revealed that she was diagnosed with high blood pressure during the screening and received valuable advice on managing her condition. She highlighted that the event had been a significant blessing for her and her family.
