2025 Ghana Tourism Awards Set for November 14 at Accra International Conference Centre

Accra: The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, is preparing to host the 2025 National Tourism Awards on Friday, November 14, 2025. The prestigious event will take place at The Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, under the theme 'Celebrating Ghanaian Ingenuity and Excellence in Tourism: The Black Star Experience'.

According to Ghana News Agency, the awards aim to recognize distinction, innovation, and leadership within Ghana's tourism, hospitality, and creative arts sectors. It will honor individuals and institutions whose outstanding contributions have helped to secure Ghana's position on the global tourism map.

Since its inception in 1997, the National Tourism Awards has been the premier platform for acknowledging excellence and dedication within the tourism ecosystem. The 2025 edition of the awards will spotlight trailblazers whose creativity, service, and resilience have played a pivotal role in positioning Ghana as the heartbeat of African tourism.

The event will have Mr. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, as the Special Guest of Honour. The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, along with other high-level dignitaries from government, the diplomatic corps, the private sector, and the creative industry, will also be in attendance.

Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto, the Chief Executive Officer of the GTA, stated that this year's theme reflects Ghana's growing confidence as a destination defined by creativity and originality. She emphasized that 'The Black Star Experience' captures the essence of the nation, describing it as bold, inventive, and full of promise. Through the celebration, the event aims to honor the Ghanaian spirit that turns ideas into impact and passion into progress.

The awards night will include cultural performances, artistic showcases, and displays of Ghanaian hospitality, providing guests with an immersive experience of the nation's creative energy and cultural pride. Mrs. Houadjeto encouraged all stakeholders and the public to partake in celebrating Ghanaian ingenuity and excellence in tourism.
