ZANIS Local Newspaper to hit the streets

The PF government has revealed that the local language newspaper it has introduced will hit the streets in the second week of May 2013.

Deputy Minister of Information and Broadcasting Service Poniso Njeulu disclosed this on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in Senanga when he toured the ZANIS offices. He said the reintroduced of the local language newspaper is aimed at increasing access to information to the rural populous.

Njeulu who is Sinjembela UPND Member of Parliament said the local language newspapers will be sold at a minimal fee of K1 rebased.

The Information Deputy Minister also directed Senanga District Commissioner Mihepulo Yumei to institute a board for the establishment of a community radio station in Senanga district, reports ZANIS.
