ZAMBIA’S VALUES ITS TIES WITH THE EU, SAYS VEEP

LUSAKA– Zambian Vice-President Inonge Wina says Zambia values its partnership with the European Union (EU) and that the government appreciates the EU’s support for various sectors of the Zambian economy.

Zambian media reports from the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, quoted the Vice-President as satating this when she met the European Commissioner for International Relations, Neven Mimica, to follow up on the resolutions agreed by leaders who attended the 30th African Union (AU) summit earlier this week.

Mimica said the EU was ready to support Zambia’s efforts in implementing the country’s development projects and programmes.

He said the EU was prepared to facilitate all reform processes which are required for purposes of setting the right environment and framework for these projects and programmes.
