ZAMBIAN PRESIDENT WELCOMES VISIT BY SWISS INVESTMENT MISSION

LUSAKA– Zambian President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has welcomed the visit to the country by a Swiss business delegation seeking seeking investment opportunities in the country as they will be able to obtain first-hand information as opposed to reports circulating in the international media.

Members of the team, led by Switzerland’s Ambassador to Zambia, Arthur Mattli, are looking for opportunities in various sectors of the economy.

Speaking at State House here Monday , the President assured the investors of support from various government ministries in their ventures in Zambia.

The Head of State also praised Ambassador Mattli on his commitment to improve relations between Zambia and Switzerland.

The ambassador said he would ensure that trade between Zambia and his country improves during his tour of duty here. He said Switzerland had continued to work with Zambia in the areas of poverty eradication and HIV/AIDS, among others.
