ZAMBIAN PRESIDENT AFFIRMS HE IS IN GOOD HEALTH

LUSAKA — Zambian President Edgar Lungu says he is in good health and working to deliver to the expectations of the people of Zambia, contrary to media reports suggesting that he is not well.

President Lungu said here Thursday that had never hidden his state of health and that he would always inform the nation if needed. He added that he was saddened that some people had continued to wish him ill health when he is fit to run the country.

President Lungu was speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony to mark the construction of Maina Soko Medical Centre in Lusaka.

The president said that would not dismiss any of his Cabinet Ministers to impress those calling for him to dismiss some of them for alleged corruption.

The President said he would turn a deaf ear to people calling on him to dismiss some of his Ministers.

He said Zambians are watching the development projects being implemented by the Patriotic Front (PF) government and posterity will judge those who are thirsty for power.
