Zambian, 3 Ugandans in court for obtaining money by false pretences

CHINGOLA magistrate Angela Chishimba has set May 14 as the date for ruling in a case where a Zambian and three Ugandans are appearing in court for obtaining money by false pretences.

Appearing before magistrate Chishimba were Aziza Kyanulabi, a female aged 23, Emmanuel Sekyanzi, 26, Hashimu Hasssan Hamisi, 26, and Paxina Chirwa, 29 from Chinese complex in Ndola.

It is alleged that on dates unknown but between November 25, 2012 and November 30, 2012, the four while acting together in Chingola fraudulently obtained KR60,000 cash from Muliya Muliya.

The court records indicate that the accused promised to recover money stolen from Muliya by unknown people but later disappeared.

They were arrested on December 16, 2012 in Ndola.

And arresting officer detective sergeant George Mumba testified that on December 16 he received a call from Masala Police Station informing him that three people were arrested in connection with obtaining money by false pretences.
