ZAMBIA TOPS GROUP AT AFRICAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP. TO MEET SUDAN IN Q-FINALS

CASABLANCA, The Chipolopolo Boys of Zambia have emerged top of Group B in the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2018) being held in Morocco and nbow advance to the quarter-finals where they will face Sudan, the runners-up of Group A.

Zambia topped the group after wrapping up their final Group B match with a 1-1 draw against Namibia, which ended up as group runners-up on goal difference. The result means that the Brave Warriors of namibia will take on hosts Morocco in their quarter-final encounter.

Namibia opened the scoring Tuesday in the 12th minute from a long-range shot by Absalom Limbondi but it was not long before Zambia levelled through Lazarous Kambole in the 24th minute.

The two sides kept pushing for a winner, with both missing a number of clear-cut chances, especially in the second half.
