UPND has no future, says Scott

VICE-President Guy Scott has charged that the UPND has no future with its current leadership.

And Council of Churches in Zambia general secretary Reverend Suzanne Matale says elections do not mean anything if they are marred with violence.

Addressing a rally to campaign for Eddie Musonda, PF candidate in the forthcoming Kapiri Mposhi Constituency by-election, at Chankomo Basic School in Kapiri Mposhi on Saturday, Vice-President Scott charged that the UPND was a regional political party that does not carry a national character.

Vice-President Scott warned Zambians not to entrust the UPND with power to govern, saying the opposition party would divide the country.

And Vice-President Scott accused former Kapiri Mposhi MMD member of parliament Lawrence Zimba who has since been adopted to re-contest the seat on the UPND ticket of neglecting the people of Kapiri Mposhi.
