Two Kapiri gays nabbed

BY SYLVIA MWEETWA –

TWO men in Kapiri Mposhi have been arrested for allegedly cohabiting in a homosexual relationship.
The two men, both aged 21, have allegedly been staying together as ‘husband and wife’ for some time until members of the public became suspicious in the way they postured themselves, suggesting intimacy.
Central Province police chief Standwell Lungu said the two men had been arrested and charged with sex against the order of nature contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
Mr Lungu  named the two as James Mwape and Phillip Mubiana of Ndeke Township in Kapiri Mposhi District.
According to information gathered in Kapiri Mposhi yesterday, Philip, who was acting as the woman, had even  changed his dress code to that of a woman.
Mr Lungu said the two were taken to the police at the weekend by Philip’s relatives who discovered that they were allegedly practising homosexuality.
