South African Coach confident of beating Zambia

South Africa National Team Coach, Gordon Igesund, has remained confident of his team putting up a nice performance against Zambia in tonight’s semi final clash of the COSAFA cup.

The Bafana Bafana coach told kickoff.com that he is confident that his charges are going in this encounter as underdogs but should not be underrated. He noted that Zambia has a strong team but his side is also well prepared for this encounter.

Igesund said he has come up with a different game plan that will see his team progress to the finals claiming he studied Zambia as they beat Mozambique in the quarter finals.

The Bafana Coach said his team will also not be intimidated by the Zambian fans.

The two Southern African giants will revive their riverly as they clash in the game at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.

Zimbabwe and Lesotho will open the semi finals match with a game to be played at the same venue at 17 hours.

And FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya has urged the Zambian squad to seize every opportunity and battle to their best to beat South Africa in tonight’s COSAFA Cup semi final.

According to FAZ, the Zambian squad is injury free and striker Bornwell Mwape and right back Jimmy Chisenga have overcome knocks and bruises sustained in the quarter final 3-1 over Mozambique.
