Sata warns dethrowned Chief, Henry Sosala

President Michael Sata has warned the dethroned Senior Chief Mwamba Henry Sosala of the Bemba people in Northern province to act respectfully and desist from engaging in actions that are at variance with the law.
President Sata last week degazetted  Sosala as Senior Chief and told him to stop masquerading as Chief of the Bemba. But later a group of Bemba Chiefs said Sosala was a legitimate Chief of the Bemba people.

But in statement released by his Spokesperson, President Sata asked Sosala to seek sober forms of engagement with the government through the Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs if he is aggrieved. President Sata said it is a monumentally unwise deed for Mr. Sosala to resort to desperate measures witnessed lately over a clear-cut issue.

The Head of State has said Sosala’s low-priced maneuvers are an exercise in futility. He explains that It is government’s incontestable responsibility to respect and uphold customs or traditions by ensuring that confusion does not take root in the management of chiefs and traditional affairs.

President Sata warned that the government will not entertain persons threatening to harm Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Professor Nkandu Luo.
