Sata not tribal – Mwata

MWATA Kazembe of the Lunda people of Mwansabombwe district says President Michael Sata’s decision to construct a stadium in Western Province is a sign that he is not tribal.

And Mwata Kazembe says he is elated by the decision by the just-ended national constitutional convention to limit the number of terms for members of parliament to two.

In an interview, Mwata Kazembe said by taking an ultra modern stadium to Western Province, President Sata had proved to the nation that he was not a head of state inclined to one ethnic grouping but a leader for all Zambians.

He said President Sata had not chosen Muchinga Province, where he hailed from but Western Province because he was aware that he was ushered in office by all Zambians.

“The fact that the stadium has not been taken to Muchinga Province is a clear testimony that President Sata is a President for all Zambians. He is a Republican President. It means that he is not there for Bembas, Lundas or Chishingas,” he said.
