Sata Is An Ailing Coward, says Amsterdam

International lawyer Robert Amsterdam says the Zambian government is behaving like a “common criminal” under the stewardship of a “coward” in President Michael Sata who is “an ailing leader barely functioning coherently” in a system whose democratic structures have broken down.

Amsterdam, the lawyer for fourth Republican president Rupiah Banda and his son Henry, says the happening in Zambia where one branch of government – the executive under President Sata – has seized judicial and legislative power is not only totally unacceptable but incredibly shameful just two years after the southern African country was taunted as a beacon of democracy.

The London-based lawyer was speaking on the internet based radio Crossfire Blogtalk hosted by Gershom Ndhlovu – a former Zambia Daily Mail editor – Mueti Moomba and Eric Njobvu on Tuesday evening. The programme was relayed on Flava fm in Kitwe and Zambezi fm in Livingstone.
