Sata has fired a Diplomat for greeting Nevers Mumba

MMD President Nevers Mumba has alleged that the Patriotic Front Government has fired a Diplomat in Kenya for greeting him when the two met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.

Dr. Mumba disclosed that the Zambian Diplomat was reported to President Michael Sata  who then dismissed her. Dr. Mumba who could however not disclose the name of the diplomat said she has since been recalled and arrived in the country on Monday July 1, 2013.

The opposition has complained that President Sata  and the Patriotic Front government is causing serious divisions in the country by stopping people in public service to interact with people from the opposition even their relatives. Dr. Mumba said this when he featured on Let the People Talk Programme on Radio Phoenix on Tuesday.

The MMD president has also clarified that the party decided to forgo the Solwezi East by-election out of good will to encourage cooperation with fellow opposition political party, the UPND. He said the UPND also gave the MMD
chance to participate in the Chipata Central seat.

Meanwhile Dr. Mumba has hinted that other countries have been snubbing Zambia because of its violation of human rights and worst governance system. He said since coming into office the President has visited a number of countries within the region and outside the continent but that no President has returned the gesture to come and visit Zambia.

Dr Mumba said this is a show of no confidence on President Sata’s government saying all Presidents also turned down the offer to officiate at this year’s Trade Fair in Ndola  because of Sata’s lack of courtesy. He said President Sata had to delegate    a Minister to open an International event which is unprecedented in the history of the Trade Fair.
