Sata appoints MMD MP he accused of being Angolan

President Michael Sata has appointed and sworn-in an a MMD Member of Parliament for Mangango constituency whom he accused of being a foreigner.

After wining the 2011 elections, Sata accused Chiseke Taundi the MMD MP of being an Angolan and wondered what country Zambia was becoming where foreigners where allowed to be MPs.

Taundi was arrested and detained but a High Court Judge Annesi Bobo ruled that he was a Zambian. The Judge said it would be dangerous for the Court to declare him a foreigner on the basis of hear-say which has not been proved.

Taundi was sworn in today as Deputy Minister for Chiefs and Traditional Affairs.
