Sakeni tries to tell a lie that Scott was on leave, issued remarks in personal capacity

Chief government spokesperson Kennedy Sakeni today again tried to tell another lie like he always does, when he claimed that Vice-President Guy Scott could have made the derogatory remarks on South Africa when he was a leave and so it was in his individual capacity.

Sources at cabinet office and State House have disclosed that Scott was on duty and had just returned from UK where he went to represent president Michael Sata at the funeral of former British Prime Minister Margret Thatcher in UK.

β€œIn any case, even when a Minister or senior government official is on leave, they are held accountable for all their activities and conduct wherever they are. They are on duty 24 hours. What more the Vice-president of the country. In any case, did he tell the UK journalist that he was speaking in his individual capacity,” sources said.
