Robert Chikwelete knelt before Patriotic Front (PF) General Secretary Wynter Kabimba apologising for leading protests against him.

And Vice president Guy Scott says the wrangles in the PF are over adding that the people who wanted to tilt to change balance of power have failed.

Chikwelete during his tenure as Lusaka District Chairman spearheaded protests in Lusaka that called for the resignation of Kabimba as Secretary General of the party accusing him dividing PF due to his presidential ambition.

But Chikwelete today turned up at Poverty Reduction Forum where Kabimba was officiating and knelt before him pleading for forgiveness. Kabimba accepted the apology from Chikwelete who he described as label  and asked all PF structures to embrace him.

Kabimba said Chikwelete was being used by people who do not mean well for the PF adding that their schemes have failed. He said just like President Sata who believes in forgiving, he has also forgiven Chikwelete.

Kabimba who is also Justice Minister said President Sata was the only option for PF in 2016 General elections.

And Vice President said Chikwelete has since written to him and Kabimba apologising. He said there was need for the party to unit and move forward.

Dr. Scott said this today in Mansa where he has arrived for campaigns ahead of the by-elections.
