PS Mwamba suspends Nurse

Western Province Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba has recommended for the suspension of a nurse from Luyelelo clinic in Mongu for refusing to attend to a patient.

Mwamba further alleged that the nurse  issued some derogatory statements against republican President Michael Sata.
The PS who rushed to the clinic on Wednesday night July 17,2013 found scores of relatives who brought the patients shouting after their relative was refused to be attended to.

The nurse, Exhildah Kwalombota is reported to have refused to attend  to the patient who came to the clinic late last night.
She is also alleged to have shouted at the patient and refused to attend to the patient and advised her to come during the day.

And Mwamba who also summoned the District Commissioner and Medical Officer  said the named nurse should be disciplined as she is tarnishing the image of the profession.

The nurse, Kwalombota confessed turning away the patient who come while watching the Zambia South Africa game but denied shouting at the President.

But the PS said it is such conducts that is denting the good works of the nurses who most of them are good workers.
