It is defined as the derangement in the breakdown of starches, proteins and fats due to the lack of insulin, a biological catalyst otherwise known as a hormone. The end result of this phenomenon is that the human body fails to use blood sugar or glucose because the lack of insulin leads to the body failing to transport glucose from the blood stream into the cells,
