Police ready to provide security at Kuomboka

INSPECTOR General of Police Stella Libongani says police officers are ready to provide security to the people that will attend the Kuomboka ceremony of the Lozi people of Western Province.

Libongani, who is currently in Mongu on tour, said the ceremony scheduled to take place on April 20 was of great significance to the region and that people should be allowed to attend with the protection of the police.

Libongani appealed to the general public to work hand in hand with the police so that the atmosphere is conducive for the event.

Libongani is on a four-day tour of Lukulu, Mongu, Senanga and Kaoma districts of Western Province.

Libongani expressed happiness with the workmanship of the police officers in the province despite facing both office and accommodation infrastructure challenges.

Libongani said the challenge would be resolved once the 9,000 housing units for officers in the Ministry of Home Affairs were completed.
