Police denies presence of panga weilding cadres in Lusaka, threatens to arrest “alarmist”

The Zambia police has denied that warring factions of the governing party – PF were seen in the central districts with pangas hunting each other saying it will arrest those saying so because they are alarming the nation.

Commenting Tuesday on the revelations of cadres with wielding machetes, Police through it’s Spokesperson says it will now arrest anyone who says they saw thugs suspected.

Charity Chanda says it is not true that there were people with machetes in the Zambian capital. She has warned that Police will arrest those whom she claims are peddling lies.

On Monday Business went on standstill in the capital’s central business, high residential area Chibolya and later spread to Kamwala before heading to take over the running of Intercity Bus Terminus.
