Patriotic Front (PF) member in Choma District of the Southern Province has described the ongoing political campaigns in Livingstone as peaceful contrary to assertions by some opposition political party leaders that there was violence.

Dexter Moono told SKY FM News in Livingstone on Tuesday that the ongoing campaigns in Livingstone were very peaceful and will not divide the country after the polls  but should instead unite them because they were one and have a common goal of developing the country.
Moono was speaking with SKY FM News in Livingstone

He disclosed that Zambians were peace loving people adding that any form of violence, no matter how little, should be addressed because if left unchecked, it could lead to confusion in the nation.

Moono added that other countries in the sub-region were war-torn because of selfish politicians.

He maintained that the PF was not a violent political party but a party that has embraced each and everyone who is a citizen and living in the Country charging that even in Mpongwe campaigns for the by elections were going on peacefully urging other political parties in the Country to emulate the ruling party, PF.

Moono further urged Livingstone and Mpongwe electorates to exercise their democratic rights and choose credible persons who have leadership attributes and who will adequately represent them in parliament.

He called on the people of Livingstone to vote for PF candidate Lawrence Evans and Gabriel Namulambe on February 28 this month because they have passionate and a heart to uplift the welfare of their people.

He observed that the PF government’s commitment to addressing poverty, disease and unemployment among other challenges affecting the people in the country was still on top of the agenda.
