PF Offices closed again, Police guarding the place

Offices for the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) Lusaka District have again been closed and armed Police are guarding the place situated near Millennium Bus Station in Lusaka.

A check by Zambian Eye Wednesday morning found the Offices locked with the Police Officers manning the place.

This comes barely two days after the faction led by Julius Komaki who is leading the anti-Wynter Kabimba Group re-opened the Offices and announced the take over of even the provincial chairmanship position held by Geophrey Chumbwe. Chumbwe is in the Kabimba Group.

Komaki who just recovering from injuries he suffered after being hacked with a panga when the two factions clashed recently said he was taking over as Chairman for Lusaka province.

But Chumbwe has asked Komaki where he drawing the authority to act in this manner.

The PF has been rocked with differences which has resulted into the party dividing into two camps –  one supporting Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba and the one supporting Kabimba who is General Secretary and Justice Minister.

The two are aspiring to succeed President Michael Sata.
