PF is not scared of UPND, MMD possible merger – Kabimba

Patriotic Front (PF)  General Secretary Wynter Kabimba says he is not scared of the possible merger between two biggest political parties, the United Party for National Development (UPND) and the Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD).

Kabimba said the merger does not pose any threats to the ruling party. The PF Chief Executive Officer says all what he is concerned is to deliver to the party. Kabimba who was speaking in an interview with journalists in Lusaka on Wednesday July 17,2013 says his job is to ensure that the party is strong and delivers to the majority poor.

There has been talks of possible merger between the UPND and MMD although this has been disputed by top leaders of the two parties.

According to reports, the merger is aimed at providing a strong party to dislodge the PF in the 2016 general elections
