The Patriotic Front (PF) is in government to loot the treasury, Opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has charged.

Commenting on the ongoing corruption cases in the PF government where some tenders have since been cancelled, Hichilema said he has been vindicated that the PF has no agenda for Zambia.
“We have always said that the PF had no agenda for Zambia other than sharing positions and looting the treasury,” charged Hichilema who walked out of the Pact with PF after his party could not agree on how they will run the country.
Hichilema said the PF have proved that they were not in government to uplift the lives of the majority Zambians were living on abject poverty. He said contrary to its slogan of putting more money in people’s pockets the PF leadership is now putting more money in its pockets.
“PF went into office not to work for the suffering masses but to dubiously obtain money from the poor Zambians by corruptly awarding themselves tenders,” Hichilema said.
He added, “the PF formed government to put more money in there pockets corruptly  as confirmed  by confirmation   both the Vice president Guy Scot and Secretary General Winter Kabimba that they are corrupt elements within their ranks. Corruption is a cancer and we need to fight it and not habour it as the case is with the PF government.”
The UPND leader says his party expect the Anti Corruption Commission to move in quickly investigate and prosecute the corrupt elements in the PF government.
