PF does not believe in fake promises – Sata

President Michael Sata has asked the Patriotic  Front candidate in the coming Kafulafuta parliamentary by election James Chishiba to give a good representation to the people once voted to the National Assembly.

The President said the people of Kafulafuta have been denied development for many years and that it was therefore important to ensure that their living standards were lifted.

President Sata also urged the PF candidate to demonstrate his relevance to the party by ensuring that only meaningful developmental projects that will bring change to the lives of the people in the area are implemented. Sata said this when he addressed separate rallies at Chiwala and Bangwe Basic Schools in Kafulafuta constituency in Masaiti district to drum up support for the PF candidate.

He notes that people already know why they want to vote for adding that what gives confidence in them to vote for a Member of Parliament is how responsible the candidate presents himself.

He also urged Chishiba who is former MMD MP to work hard when voted into office adding that the party he has joined embraces such culture and does not believe in giving people fake promises. The President observed that that the constituency is still under developed despite having being under the MMD when it was in government for many years.

He regretted that the area has no decent infrastructure in terms of schools, clinics and roads but assured the electorates of change once the PF takes over.

The President was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Gabriel Namulambe, PF member Willie Nsanda, National Revolution Party President Cosmo Mumba and other senior PF and government officials.
