PF cadres in Lusaka turn against Kabimba

Cadres from the ruling Party – Patriotic Front (PF) have turned against their General Secretary Wynter Kabimba calling for his expulsion.

The cadres have protested in the Central district of Lusaka chanting anti-Kabimba slogans. They matched on Lusaka’s Freedom Way bring business to a standstill Friday, September 13, 2013 denouncing Kabimba whom they accuse of having betrayed the party.

The cadres by press time had gathered at the District Office near Millinium Bus Station within the central district.

Kabimba is alleged to be aspering for presidency of the party and is alleged being backed by Post Newspaper owner Fred M’membe.

The paper has been writing negative stories on Defence Minister Geophrey Mwamba who is leading a campaign to endorse President Sata as the party’s sole candidate for 2011.

And when contacted for a comment, Kabimba told ZNBC that the cadres needs to use a right channel by writing to the president who shall then table the matter before Central Committee.

Kabimba who is also Justice Minister said he was not sure whther the cadres are indeed from the PF.

Zambian Eye has been informed that President Sata has told Kabimba to steep down as General Scretary of the party.
