PF Bribes Chipata with K2 Billion Hospital Pledge

With a looming by-election in Chipata government has announced that it would build a K2 billion hospital in the area.

The PF government through Chipata District Commissioner Kalunga Zulu said the hospital will be the second largest in the country.

Meanwhile, civil Society organization FODEP has warned the church against being agents of corruption by receiving donations during elections.

FODEP executive director MacDonald Chipenzi says the President Michael Sata’s K25 million cash donation to the United Church of Zambia St James Congregation in Luangwa where a by-election is due on June 23rd is immoral.

Chipenzi said it was sad that churches were becoming part of long traditions of receiving money from politicians as happened during former president Frederick Chiluba who introduced the presidential slush fund.
