PF Apologises to Radio Mano

The Patriotic Front (PF) in Northern Province has unreservedly appologised to Radio Mano of Kasama after its cadres raided the station to block National Restoration Party (NAREP) President Elias Chipimo from featuring on a show on Wednesday.

PF Northern Province Secretary Evaristo Chella made the apology in Kasama after meeting with the management. Chella said the party is deeply saddened by the development which brought operations at the station to a halt.

He has however denied that the people who were involved were not party leaders but mere sympathisers. Chella has also assured the radio station that situations of this nature will not be repeated in future. He said he will work closely with the station to ensure smooth operation.

Meanwhile Webby Chipili the suspected PF cadre who blocked Chipimo, has also appologised to the station. He said, he took the decision to protect the station from being burnt by suspected youths. Chipili said he had received information that some people were planning to set ablaze the station.

The unruly PF cadres on Wednesday blocked Chipimo from featuring on a paid for political programme on the radio station.
