Opposition MPs defections to ruling party show increased popularity says PF

The Patriotic Front says the continued defections of opposition Members of Parliament to the PF is a reflection of increased popularity of the ruling Party.

The PF has also denied ever inducing any MPs that have recently dumped their political parties to join the ruling party.

PF Media and Publicity Director Chanda Mfula, has explained to Qfm in an interview that the MPs that have been defecting to join his party have done so because of the seriousness and commitments that the PF has embarked on in developing the country.
Meanwhile Mr. Mfula has reiterated that it would be selfish for some individuals that campaign for the PF to win the 2011 general elections to complain of not being rewarded with positions in government.

He said it is not possible for the PF to reward with government positions everybody that helped it to come into power.

The PF Media and Publicity Director was responding to recent media reports of some individuals who have been quoted as saying that PF has dumped them after they helped it get into power.
