Operations paralyzed at UTH as Nurses continue with their strike

Strike by Zambian nurses have continued as they demand for the increased salaries and improved conditions of service leaving operations at the country’s biggest Hospital – University Teaching Hospital (UTH) paralyzed.

A check by Zambian Eye Sunday morning found that Nurses were  still on strike and patients remain unattended as a few administrative staff were not able to meet the demands.

Nurses and other medical staff have been on strike since last week.

But Management at UTH has called upon Nurses to resume work saying their plight was being addressed by government.
