Nsamba urges sense of purpose in public service

Newly-appointed Luapula Province deputy permanent secretary Joyce Nsamba has called for a paradigm shift in public service delivery in order to restore the glory that was associated with the service in the past.

Nsamba made the call on Wednesday afternoon when she met heads of government departments in the province.

She said there was need to create a public service in Luapula Province that would bring back the lost glory which characterised the service in the first Republic.

She called for a shared goal in the public service so that everyone could be working towards the same thing.

Nsamba said there was need to provide quality services in the most efficient and effective manner to the public.

She also called for all senior officers in the province to toll the line of the government of the day and urged them to take time to study the Patriotic Front manifesto in order to align their programmes with the expectations of the government.
