Action Aid Zambia says North Western Province has a lot of resources to cover for the whole country.

Action Aid Zambia Country director Pamela Chisanga said it is so surprising that the state of infrastructure in Solwezi district has remained stagnant.

Speaking during a consultative meeting with stake holders at Solwezi lodge Ms. Chisanga wondered why the district is not improving despite having a lot of minerals.

“Sometimes you would wonder to see the kind of dust in Solwezi as if its not a mining town, but something can be done because the mineral resources in this province can cater for the whole country” Ms. Chisanga said.

She has however called for monitoring on how resources from the mines are being reduced.
