ZAMBIA has no representation in the Africa X1 squad which was named on Sunday by the Confederation of African Football technical group at the end of the Africa Cup of Nations finals in South Africa.
None of the Zambian players was even good enough for the Africa XI second team.

New Africa champions Nigeria have five players, Burkina Faso have two, Mali, Ghana, Cape Verde and Ivory Coast have one apiece.
Nigeria beat Burkina Faso 1-0 at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday night courtesy of a Sunday Mba strike to win the title and formally ended Zambia’s one-year reign.
There is no place for Ivory Coast stars Didier Drogba, Yaya Toure, Gervinho and Salomon Kalou, among others.
Also out of the picture are Zambia’s good performers Stopilla Sunzu in defence and Kennedy Mweene in goal.
The technical committee’s choice for goalkeeper of the tournament is Nigeria’s Vincent Enyeama, who conceded four goals in six matches.  The goals included one off the penalty spot scored by Mweene.
Other players in the Africa XI are defenders Efe Ambrose (Nigeria), Siaka Tiéné (Ivory Coast), Bakary Kone (Burkina Faso) and Cape Verde skipper Nando Maria Neves.
Debutants Cape Verde reached the quarter-finals.
Midfielders are John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses (both Nigeria), Seydou Keita (Mali) and Jonathan Pitroipa (Burkina Faso).
Asamoah Gyan (Ghana) and Emmanuel Emenike (Nigeria) are the strikers.
Emenike was top scorer with four goals alongside Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso while Pitroipa was the most valuable player.
After winning the Africa Cup in Libreville exactly a year ago today, four Zambian players – Kennedy Mweene, Stopilla Sunzu, Emmanuel Mayuka and skipper Christopher Katongo were named in the Africa X1 squad while midfielder Rainford Kalaba was a substitute.
The Chipolopolo were eliminated at group stage after drawing all their three matches.
Zambia drew 1-1 with Ethiopia, got the same scoreline against Nigeria and battled to a goalless draw with Burkina Faso to bow out of the competition.
