The Non-Governmental Coordinating Committee (NGOCC) has expressed worry government’s  failure to admit that there is a shortage of oxygen at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH).
NGOCC chairperson Beatrice Grillo wonders why government is trying to conceal the truth from the general public.
Grillo says government should channel resources to improve the health sector instead of causing unnecessary by-elections and funding football matches.
“It is important for our leaders to own up to the truth and tell us if there is something wrong,” she said.
UTH has been reported to have no oxygen for a number of days while Government officials have continued to offer contradicting statements on the situation.
