Nevers using accident to get at Sata to gain political mileage – Kampyongo

Zambia’s Home affairs deputy minister Stephen Kampyongo has castigated Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) President Nevers Mumba for criticizing republican President Michael Sata for not visiting the Chibombo accident site.

Kampyongo says it is very unfortunate for the MMD leader to use an issue such as the accident to try and gain political mileage.

He wondered how a person of Mumba’s caliber could say such a thing when the tragedy was so big and everyone including the head of state was affected by it.

He said it was therefore clear that even at such a sad moment all that Mumba was interested in was his cheap politics.

Mumba visited the Chibombo accident scene yesterday were 54 people died in a road traffic accident on Thursday February 7 2013 involving a ZAMPOST bus and a Truck where he challenged President Sata to visit if he were to understand the full impact of the accident.
