Yunyoo-Nasuan: The Yunyoo-Nasuan District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has engaged youth activists of political parties in the area to promote peaceful elections. The event, aimed at fostering a culture of peaceful coexistence and non-violence, was part of the Preventing and Containing Violent Extremism project, funded by the European Union.According to Ghana News Agency, the meeting took place at Jimbale and focused on improving the knowledge and attitudes of participants regarding tolerance and peaceful coexistence. Topics discussed included the role of youth in promoting peace, inter-faith tolerance, and identifying and countering misinformation and disinformation.Participants included youth activists from various political parties and members of the public. Mr. Daniel Havor, Head of the Pentecost Church at Jimbale and a resource person at the event, encouraged political party youth activists to tolerate one another despite their political differences.In addition , Mr. Yidana Alhassan, the Yunyoo-Nasuan District Officer of the National Investigations Bureau, urged political party youth activists and communicators to verify their statements before publishing, to avoid maligning their opponents.Mr. Wilberforce Zangina, North East Regional Director of NCCE, also emphasized the importance of embracing peace to promote development within political party circles.
