Mpongwe PF reports HH to police over cadres’ assault

THE PF campaign team in Mpongwe has reported UPND president Hakainde Hichilema and his entourage to the police for allegedly assaulting about 17 cadres of the ruling party.

But the UPND says the allegations that its supporters attacked PF cadres in the presence of Hichilema are untrue and only meant to discredit the party.

Narrating the incident yesterday, PF youth chairperson Menyani Zulu said the supporters of the ruling party were attacked in Musofu area, 85 kilometres from Mpongwe Boma where Hichilema and his entourage staged a meeting around 14:00  hours on Wednesday.

Zulu said out of the 17 PF cadres that were attacked, four sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Mpongwe Hospital where a doctor issued them with medical reports and the matter was later reported to the police.
