Mpombo ungrateful, says Kabimba

JUSTICE minister Wynter Kabimba has described former deputy ambassador to Nigeria George Mpombo as an ungrateful human being.

Kabimba, who is also PF secretary general, said in an interview that it would be interesting to see how far Mpombo would go with his presidential ambitions.

Mpombo has announced his intention to run for president in 2016 and claimed that PF was seriously veering from its manifesto and that the country was seeing incessant political somersaults which had seriously eroded the party’s popularity.

“We salvaged that guy from RB (Rupiah Banda), went and represented him in Ndola free of charge with Lusaka lawyer Bonaventure Mutale and myself over that bouncing of a cheque,” Kabimba said.

“I think he was convicted and given a suspended sentence or something, and in addition, he is broke.”

Kabimba said Mpombo’s war of big words against the PF would not equate to anything of substance.
