MMD offers Fr. Bwalya Vice President position

MMD Vice President In-Charge of Politics Mike Kaingu has disclosed that he is ready to steep aside and offer his position to outspoken Catholic Priest Fr. Frank Bwalya.

Kaingu welcomed the move taken by Fr. Bwalya to join other opposition parties in denouncing the injustice and poor leadership by President Michael Sata and PF. He said there is need to carry on the fight until a right leader is put in State House.

The MMD Vice President who is also a Member of Parliament for Mwandi constituency in Western Province urged Fr. Bwalya to remain strong adding that he was welcome to MMD.

“If he wants to join MMD he is welcome, I can even resign the position of Vice President for him to take it,” said Kaingu who is one of the two Vice Presidents for the former ruling party – MMD.

Kaingu says the fight that needs to be launched on PF will be more than what was done to remove the MMD from power hence the need for concerted efforts.

Fr. Bwalya on Friday, May 3, 2013 disclosed that he was going to form a political party and called upon all opposition parties to a summit where they will agree on how to work together. He said PF was so dictatorial that if the opposition is not careful their leaders can be locked up so that Sata goes unopposed.
